Hat-tip to GoodAsYou.org. A leader of the religious rightwing is calling on sympathizers to pray for rain "of biblical proportions" to occur during Senator Barack Obama's acceptance speech on August 28, 2008 at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Interesting how this activist has no stated desire for Obama, a fellow Christian, to change his mind about issues, no stated desire to pray that humility and wisdom might reign in his heart and mind as he considers Obama's opinions about political issues. No, it's right to a smarmy evocation of bronze age tribalistic wrathfulness. Such is the style of the faith of the religious rightwing.
"Tribalistic Wrathfulness" is the soup de jour served at le diner republican. If it were any different, they would have to reconsider their power mongering
