The Fredricksburg Free Lance-Star is reporting, "In Virginia Beach, television evangelist Pat Robertson said in a statement that [Supreme Court nominee John] Roberts was at the top of his own list of candidates for the court vacancy."
Robertson also offers some seemingly equivocating statements, too. But his endorsement of Roberts is unlikely to be welcome news for many vigilantly watching the religious right's rising influence on the judiciary.
