As Frederick Clarkson points out on his blog today, Justice Sunday II is only a few weeks away. It will be a Religious Right extravaganza. As has been discussed on Talk To Action, the topic of language is key, and a discussion before Justice Sunday II would be ideal (but it might be logistically difficult). By the topic of language being key, what specifically comes to mind is the topic of how to move beyond labeling or demonizing the Religious Right, for the sake of making connections with the rank and file members--not all of whom are unreachable; many of them are dismissed as fanatics or extremists far too often.
Clarkson's post today takes the reader back to a Newsday article about Chip Berlet and dialog with the Religious Right. It's a great opening to a larger dialog; please read it and recommend it to others.
